As a Senior Accounting Associate on the Securitization Investor Reporting team, you will have a unique perspective into Capital One's securitization and financial reporting performance. Our team is responsible for filing Form 10-D with the SEC and supporting our business partners involved in the securitization program through the preparation and management of accurate and timely financial results, including delivering results to senior leadership, supporting the Regulation AB audit process, engaging in cross-functional initiatives including technology modernization, and driving automation. You will also work with an outstanding team to identify process efficiency and implement solutions. You will have the opportunity to be involved in progressive project work with exposure to senior management and various departments across the Company.
Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert of our auto and credit card securitization reporting
Assist in the preparation and review of our monthly Form 10-D filings and supporting reports
Analyze and summarize results into a presentation for senior leadership and business partners
Respond to internal and external audit requests
Calculate daily and monthly wires to the trustee
Build cross functional relationships to stay attuned to business changes and key events that will impact financial results
Participate in key corporate projects such as system upgrades, process automations, and enhancements
Help evolve our processes into the next generation by implementing emerging technology tools to reimagine the future
Perform cross-team support and ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
Ideal candidate will possess:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks
Ability to produce high-quality presentation materials within tight timeframes
Experience with securitization reporting or other financial reporting
Financial institution experience preferred
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree or military experience
At least 2 years of accounting experience, or finance experience, or audit experience, or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Bachelor's degree in Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
1+ year of SEC Reporting experience
1+ year of financial institution experience
1+ year of financial and accounting reporting systems
At least 1 year of experience in Python or SQL, or a combination
