Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2024 Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2024 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for an Investment Services Analyst I who provides analytical, reporting, and broad client / prospect support for Wespath’s institutional investment products and services. In this role the analyst will work with the Managing Director, Institutional Investment Services (IIS) to execute the processes to support the IIS team and client interactions with Wespath across the entire lifecycle from sales, through acquisition, to retention. The goal of the analyst is to enhance the client experience to drive retention and support business development efforts. The analyst will secure IIS and Investment Management team feedback to assist in identifying continuous improvement actions, align with best practices, and identify Wespath’s competitive advantage.
More specifically, as an Investment Services Analyst I you will:
Support the Institutional Investment Services department by analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating existing and prospective client and team needs.
Support in the delivery of high-quality client service, resulting in the retention of discretionary assets invested in Wespath’s funds by UMC-associated organizations.
Create and distribute a variety of monthly and quarterly financial and investment-related reports.
Attend client and prospect meetings in a supportive role, presenting information as needed.
Respond to various ad hoc requests from the CIO, Investment Management, and Institutional Investment Services departments.
Present Wespath’s institutional investment offering from a service perspective.
Identify major competitor’s product and service models; identify weaknesses/strengths, monitor the Wespath competitive advantage and messaging.
Collaborate with Wespath’s Communications and Investment Analytics departments to update client reporting.
Ensure the client experience and Wespath message for institutional investments is consistent with Wespath’s brand and corporate identity.
Support the completion of gap analyses and activities required to ensure that Wespath’s service offering sufficiently appeals to the target market of institutions associated with The United Methodist Church and fulfills the organization’s retention goals.
Develop expertise with various computer systems including:
- Investment Metrics (PARis)
- eVestment
- FactSet: generate a variety of custom reports upon request.
- Salesforce CRM system: document internal approvals and correspondence.
Investment Services Analyst I Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this position is $63,000 – $70,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be set based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or equivalent work experience.
Strong PC skills in all Microsoft Office applications.
Strong
written and verbal communications skills.
Excel and
PowerPoint skills for client presentations.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of or a strong desire to gain knowledge of investing and financial
markets.
