Job Summary

This position is for a UM-Dearborn student who is enrolled at least part-time and who is available to work up to 15 hours per week for the duration of the employment period.

What You'll Do

  • Host monthly FSL President Roundtables
  • Coordinate Greek Week activities and events in collaboration with the Student Organizations Coordinator
  • Assist with the development and facilitation of the annual FSL Retreat
  • Hold consultation meetings with students, staff, and faculty looking to learn more about campus involvement opportunities and Office of Student Life offerings, especially fraternity and sorority recruitment and intake
  • Assist with student organization registration and re-registration processes
  • Maintain student organization records (e.g., budgets, policies, registration, rosters, etc.) with specific responsibilities for fraternity and sorority records
  • Support the implementation of signature events such as the Go Blue Bash, Winter Involvement Fair, and Greek-A-Palooza
  • Participate in staff meetings, department meetings, and supervisor one-on-one meetings

    Responsibilities*

    • Provide support to students, staff, and faculty utilizing the Office of Student Life services and resources and maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
    • Serve as a first point of contact for students looking for referral to campus and community resources
    • Maintain administrative processes and tools (e.g., VictorsLink, student organization mail distribution, answering departmental emails)
    • Market Office of Student Life events and initiatives (e.g., print materials, tabling, classroom visits, etc.)
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when working with the students, staff, and faculty
    • Support Office of Student Life programming initiatives such as Wolverine Welcome Day, Homecoming, MLK Day of Service, etc.
    • Other tasks as assigned

      Required Qualifications*

      • Enrolled at least part-time as a UM-Dearborn student
      • Must be available for OSL student staff training on August 18-19, 2025
      • Ability to speak publicly and represent the Office of Student Life in a positive light
      • High level of interpersonal skills: can listen effectively and interact with people appropriately and professionally
      • Available to work some nights and weekends
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

        Desired Qualifications*

        • Preference will be given to those candidates who will be enrolled through the WI26 semester
        • Federal Work Study Eligible

            Modes of Work

            Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
