Operations Coordinator
Where will you work: Onsite at our Bartow Concentrates facility (3200 Highway 60 West| Bartow, FL 33830)
The Operations Coordinator will facilitate and coordinate the education, implementation, and execution of new Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) consent decree (CD) program with respect to Operations at the facility level within the Phosphates division. Provide support to operations site leadership so they may ensure compliance with all related operational schedules and activities, identify, and address gaps, and timely communicate impediments to achieving RCRA CD program goals. Serve as Point of Contact for facility personnel for guidance, questions, and feedback on RCRA CD process. Lay foundation for future management and coordination of other operational aspects of solid and hazardous waste activities at the facility level to achieve sustained and integrated operational compliance with all aspects of RCRA.
What will you do?
Learn, understand, and maintain fluency in requirements of RCRA consent decree in order to effectively support the facility RCRA CD program day-to-day from an Operations perspective.
Provide Support for site leadership in implementing and achieving full RCRA CD compliance at the facility level, working directly with affected process areas and having primary focus BMP Program: phosphoric acid, FSA, granulation, and cleaning wastes reporting, management, spill control, and recycling/recovery activities.
Review, track and oversee spill reporting and inspection results. Provide feedback to facility personnel on proper identification, reporting, correction, and response.
Collaborate with Environmental support group on RCRA related compliance, CD reporting and other routine RCRA program requirements as needed.
Perform related compliance audits.
Identify and proactively address gaps. Provide continuous feedback and communicate developments and issues to Management.
Liaise with Projects Engineering to track RCRA Capital projects and collaborate on developments and needs.
Ensure proper maintenance and organization of related records, files and data, and coordinate with other RCRA team members on program developments as directed.
Facilitate and oversee deployment of training related to the BMPs and other consent decree requirements; serve as lead trainer on RCRA CD operational requirements for facility personnel.
Ensure standardization/conformance to Business Unit requirements.
What do you need for this role?
High school Diploma/GED
5+ years of Plant Operations experience
Phos-Acid Production experience is preferred
Regulatory experience is preferred
