As a Cloud Engineer IV, you will support and manage the department cloud infrastructure and services, including design and coding solutions. A strong working knowledge of Azure and cloud is required as well as Windows and Linux administration. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated working knowledge of Python, Terraform, Bicep, and Kubernetes.
This is a virtual/telecommuter position working from home. However, you will be expected to align with standard working hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) in the Pacific time zone.
What you’ll do:
Design and develop cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services that meet the organization's requirements. This includes selecting the appropriate cloud platform, creating architecture diagrams, and developing automation scripts.
Deployment of new applications to the cloud and migrating existing applications from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud. Ensure that the migration process is seamless and does not disrupt the organization's operations.
Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems and optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.
Security and compliance implementation and remediation.
Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
Review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (Required)
(8) years of related experience. (Required)
Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure.
Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Strong knowledge of Python.
Strong knowledge of IaC, either Terraform or Bicep.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing.
Knowledge of Linux.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes or Docker.
Strong knowledge of Visio and creating architectural diagrams.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
National Salary Range:
$112,900.00 - $191,900.00National Plus Salary Range:
$128,700.00 - $218,800.00*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
