Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Benefits, this position is responsible for a full scope of activities associated with the development, implementation, communication and administration of company-sponsored colleague benefit programs. This position works closely with the Benefits team, managers, supervisors, HR Business Partners and payroll to ensure delivery of all programs. This position acts as the primary liaison between Point32Health and the outsourced vendors for leave administration.Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

Benefits Administration
Assist the Director, Benefits with the administration and communication of Company sponsored benefit plans.
Maintain and/or create relationships with plan vendors.
Oversee the coordination and execution of the Open Enrollment Benefits Fair.
Provide SME resource to the Benefits Coordinators and staff in researching and resolving routine and more complex benefit related inquiries.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws to support the administration and delivery of benefit services and programs in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Identify and participate in various benefit surveys appropriate to department needs. Submit data to survey companies via various means.
Leave Administration
Provide support for leaves of absence administration for colleagues, supervisors and managers in compliance with company, federal, and state leave laws including FMLA, PFML, MMLA, SNLA, ADA and Worker’s Compensation.
Work closely with outsourced leave administration vendor to ensure all leaves are managed appropriately. Escalate issues and resolves problems.
Provide process improvement recommendations in leave/disability administration program.
Provide consultation to managers, supervisors and colleagues related to leaves of absence/disability and workers compensation programs.
Notification of Worker’s Compensation injuries to third party administrator.
Work with routine and ADA related ergonomic requests and follow-up.
Support ADA claims administration and coordinate bi-weekly calls with leave administrator.
New Hire Orientation
Oversee benefits participation in new hire orientation
Maintain benefits presentation and updates as necessary
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory provisions including I-9 compliance
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide good judgment, initiative and sound decision-making to proactively identify and resolve issues timely.
Participate and assist in the improvement, communication and training of HR processes, policies and programs.
Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings as necessary.
Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
Maintain professional growth and development through self-directed learning activities.
Encourage and precipitate a collaborative work environment among team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Certification, and Licensure
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience (minimum years required):
Minimum 5-7 years experience in employee benefit program administration. Understanding of FMLA laws and regulations and prior LOA administration experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office products and HR systems required. Knowledge of the managed care/ health care industry is preferred.
Skill Requirements
Requires the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment. Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to deal effectively with all employees including management and senior management, internal departments and external customers on a daily basis in person, on the phone and via written correspondence. The candidate must be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism in difficult situations.
Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):
This is a hybrid position working remotely as approved by management
Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
Work may require the simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
May be required to work additional hours beyond the standard work schedule.
