30Summary:
The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physicians and/or advanced practice providers in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by providers and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma required
Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required
Minimum 1-year experience in outpatient pediatric practice or equivalent family practice outpatient preferred (as determined by department), or immediately post-externship in a pediatrics practice or clinic setting
CPR - BLS required
National certification preferred
