PURPOSE:
The Venture Capital Manager will play a key role in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, executing on investment theses, and supporting our portfolio companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Seek out new investment opportunities. Balance our thematic and opportunistic sourcing efforts to gain early visibility of potential investments. Use a strong personal network to nurture relationships and structure dependable syndicates. Evaluate potential investment opportunities. Structure, coordinate, and synthesize comprehensive due diligence processes with multiple stakeholders. Uncover what makes our future portfolio companies special and how we can help de-risk their path forward. Execute investments, including deal structuring and negotiation, financial modeling, and investment committee presentations.
- Engage with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Manage ongoing relationships with funds in which Healthworx is an limited partner. Expand the Healthworx presence and reputation among company executives, venture capitalists, service providers, and others.
- Support Healthworx portfolio companies. Act as a true partner to, and advocate for, management teams as they navigate the entrepreneurial journey. Build strong relationships across multiple areas of the organization and serve as a trusted advisor on topics of innovation and engaging with the venture ecosystem.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 10 years of venture capital, management consulting, investment banking, product management, business development with a technology company, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, JD, or Master?s degree in a health-related discipline.
- Track record of venture deal execution or support at the Series A through C stage.
- Strong network in healthcare innovation and investment.
- Curiosity, passion, humor, and humility.

- Developed financial, quantitative, and analytical skills,
- Exceptional communication, active listening, critical thinking, and presentation skills,
- Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range: $148,160 - $264,836Salary Range Disclaimer

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilites of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
