JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Product Support, this role is responsible for identifying Part Sales opportunities through market intelligence, development of those programs and delivery to market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster new business and drive program strategies that drive top line revenue for the company and increase profit, contributing to the overall success of the Blue Bird Parts and Service Segment.  The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of OE and dealership relationships, possess exceptional leadership skills, and a consistent track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies and product launch into the marketplace.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify opportunities & bring-to-market products to expand the complete line of Blue Bird Service Parts offerings
  • Identify leakage and develop a strategy to convert lost opportunities into recovered sales through value selling, supplier collaboration, alternative sourcing and focus with the dealer network and internal parts team
  • Develop and introduce a viable E-Commerce solution
  • Market Analysis to substantiate pricing recommendations that will improve profitability while maintaining margin
  • Analyze and improve internal Parts Reports, Service Market data and UIO related data in order to develop specific strategies, recommendations, and plans by Dealer to increase parts sales and profitability
  • Participate in scheduled Dealer network and Parts Advisory Council meetings to identify gaps in product competitiveness, offerings and promotions
  • Coordinate efforts with internal departments regarding Supplier Agreements, recommended price changes, promotions, cost reductions, etc.
  • Monitor promotions and programs after launch, identify and recommend methods to increase the performance of low performing Dealers in order to increase sales
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to the current pricing process that improves accuracy and throughput

Additional Responsibilities may include

  • Collaborate and identify internal support tools, reporting metrics and dealer scorecards that will be utilized to benchmark the Dealer network
  • Participate in and/or lead FAQ Webinar sessions to educate and train the Dealer Parts Teams on programs & promotions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS

  • Strong relationship building, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills at all levels of organization, both verbal and written
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel (expert)
  • Strong understanding and experience developing Qlik and Power Bi reports
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to absorb, organize and analyze large amounts of information and able to extract key data
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meeting multiple project deadlines is required
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy in execution
  • Capable of managing confidential and proprietary information
  • Consistent track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies and product launch into the marketplace
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED                                                 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing or any other related field; or relative experience
    • 8-10 years relevant sales, product manager, pricing, analytical, finance or consulting experience w/o degree
  • 5 years relevant sales, product manager, pricing, analytical, finance or consulting experience required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in the commercial trucks & off highway Aftermarket is preferred, particularly in parts, catalog, or data management
  • Program and/or Product Management experience is preferred
