New Product Development Engineer - Pumps

The Engineer will design the downhole technology systems for an NPI program using state of the art design and manufacturing processes. The Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. The Engineer is also responsible for designing Mechanical product/subsystem release solutions by conceptualizing, designing and qualifying artificial lift technologies.

As a New Product Development Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Mechanical systems design of pumps (rotating equipment) for artificial lift equipment from the conceptual design phase and progressing though the detailed design phases to culminate in equipment qualification
  • Work as part of multi-disciplined team to execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Develop plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling and commitments
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments with appropriate abatement plans
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including Sourcing and Manufacturing to ensure engagement and execution on project deliverables
  • Execute projects through the NPI process
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Have a minimum 1 year of design experience in rotating equipment
  • Have a minimum 3 years of experience as a lead Product Engineer
  • Have some experience with artificial lift systems (ESP, PCP, Gas Lift and Rod Pumping)
  • Have experience with 3D design (SolidWorks/NX), mechanical design & analysis tool (ANSYS - FEA and CFD)
  • Have proficiency in GD&T & Tolerance Analysis and ANSI/ASME Y14 drawing standards
  • Have experience with project management
