WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Serve as the Workday Student functional expert for all subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Serve as the backup functional expert for Workday Finance.
- Act as the primary technical owner for the student information system and responsible for success of each stakeholders initiatives through specification, maintenance, and administration.
- Provide status on key accomplishments, next steps, track to key deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
- Escalate any policy or process conflicts to Platform Manager.
- Identify and escalate resource risks and constraints early.
- Work with end users to understand reporting needs and develop appropriate reports and report delivery timeframes.
- Support developers to maintain system interfaces and necessary data integration with downstream systems.
- Responsible for maintaining proper security to protect confidential information by documenting security changes and testing all security memberships.
- Ensure a production quality system, by partnering and collaborating with Platform Manager and other cross functional leads across campus to troubleshoot and resolve production application issues; coordinate, review, test, and implement ongoing Workday system upgrades or patches.
- Design, develop, test, and implement configuration to meet best practice utilizing the established standards and protocols.
- Remain knowledgeable of the Workday roadmap and upcoming product releases, reviewing release notes, assessing new features and understanding the impacts to business processes and basic changes in functionality.
- Participate in project scoping activities.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education and student information systems
Must have project management experience, leading multiple work-streams or small teams
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have superior verbal and written communications skills with the ability to express technical concepts clearly and across all levels of an organization
Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities
Must have strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to be a motivated, independent learner with a passion for IT topics
Ability to determine task priorities and plan and manage those priorities to move a project forward to completion
Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fluid environment
Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Drive/Docs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar).

Some occasional travel to Workday Training sessions
May require occasional evening and/or weekend work
ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE
- Prefer previous experience in student system implementations
- Prefer Workday certification
