Summary: As a member of Client Service Team, the Resource Specialist (RS) provides specialized support for complex client operational needs. The RS must have a working proficiency with complex advisory managed accounts, separately managed accounts, fixed income, stocks, options, alternative investments, charitable giving practices, estate distributions, complex trusts, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the private equity paperwork process from information gathering to preparation of subscription packets, retitling and redemption requests.  This entails working closely with the CSA to coordinate signatures from clients for the completion of subscription packets. 
  • Ownership of capital calls, coordinating with CSAs if necessary.
  • Ownership of the custodian requirements and forms for complex cash movements (ex. international wires), which entails gathering necessary details, filling out the forms, and coordinating with the CSA to obtain client signatures.  Be a resource should any issues arise.
  • Ownership of all SMA processes, coordinating with the CSA for any client interactions, handling the following:
    • Funding
    • Benchmark Changes
    • Distributions
    • Retitling
    • Terminations
  • Provides guidance and assistance with complex estate account setup and estate distributions.
  • Provides guidance and assistance with complex gifting requests.
  • Ability to strategically work through complex onboarding tasks involving trusts, business entities, alternative investments, etc. with high attention to detail.
  • Participate in client meetings to help guide the collection of necessary information and documentation for complex tasks/project.
  • Provide proactive communication with clients and advisor teams while assisting with the complex client tasks/projects.
  • Assures accuracy and timeliness of all custodian work.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations based on specific client situations and best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with custodians, vendors, and peers at other RIAs to strategize, identify, and implement best practices.
  • Proactively document, develop or improve standard templates, policies, procedures, and materials.
  • Maintain required logs and supporting documentation for compliance-related purposes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the systems used by the company, such as CRM, custodian websites, and other relevant technological resources.
  • Provide input on and encourage the adoption of new technology solutions as they become available.
  • Escalate issues and requests to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Conduct training sessions and communicate best practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

        Education/Training/Experience:

        • College degree (preferred). New grads considered with a business and/or finance-related degree and internship/work experience.
        • 5 years of related experience and/or training with a registered investment advisor, family office, financial services firm, banking or investment firm, financial planning firm, or related business. 
        • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
        • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
        • Numerical accuracy and attention to detail (required).
        • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team environment. 
        • Desire to learn, be resourceful, and think outside the box. 
        • Professional appearance and manner.
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with any CRM, portfolio management, and document management software is a plus.
        • Continuously exhibits personal integrity and professional initiative and a personable attitude.

The base salary range for this position is $57,000 – $98,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
