Testing Services is one of five departments within the AAC, alongside Academic Advising, Learning Assistance, Student Accessibility Services, and Transfer Services. Committed to student success, retention, and equity, diversity, and inclusion, Testing Services continually seeks to enhance accessibility and expand opportunities for test-takers through innovative service delivery and operational growth.Position Summary
This position will work primarily at BSU's Attleboro Campus, located at 11 Field Rd, Attleboro, MA , with periodic work on the Bridgewater main campus as well. The Test Proctor will conduct all work on-site. This is not a remote position.Bridgewater State University Testing Services provides a secure, professional, and inclusive testing environment, supporting undergraduate, graduate, professional licensure, and placement testing needs for both the BSU community and the surrounding region. Located within the Academic Achievement Center (AAC), Testing Services plays a critical role in student success by facilitating a wide range of academic and professional certification exams. As an active member of the National College Testing Association (NCTA), Testing Services upholds industry standards for exam integrity, accessibility, and operational excellence. The center administers a variety of assessments, including BSU math and English placement exams, CLEP, PRAXIS, DSST, MTEL, Pearson VUE, FAA Knowledge, GRE, PSI Certification, Kryterion, Correspondence Exams, and TOEFL.

Tour of Duty:
Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
(Sunday and Monday as days off)
*Initial assignment only. Subject to change according to institutional needs.
This is an AFSCME unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement.
Essential Duties
Core Duties:- Assist with all daily operations of our inclusive, equity-minded testing center:
- Assist with the daily operations of an inclusive, equity-minded testing center, including scheduling appointments, maintaining office records, managing forms, and organizing testing materials.
- Manage the test-taker experience in accordance with department and vendor requirements, including greeting candidates, verifying payments, verifying identification, preparing test stations, monitoring exams, and printing score reports.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Testing Services' operating procedures and actively contribute to process improvements that address the diverse needs of test-takers.
- Develop and maintain expertise in vendor processes, including software installation, security protocols, and administrative requirements for test administration.
- Utilize equity-oriented and inclusive practices in the planning, outreach, and execution of the annual math and English placement testing process.
- Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, voicemails, and emails, providing accurate and courteous assistance.
- Provide clear test instructions, monitor testing environments, and address candidate inquiries while upholding professional and ethical testing standards.
- Accurately document and report test irregularities, security breaches, and any instances of suspected cheating.
- Collaborate with off-site technical support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during test administrations.
- Stay current with all required vendor training and pursue additional professional development opportunities in areas such as cultural competence, ADA compliance, accessibility services, and equity in education.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards and ensure the security and integrity of all test materials and processes.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, including appropriate attire and conduct, to foster a welcoming and supportive testing environment.
- Perform additional administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time or equivalent part-time, experience in technical work supporting research, instructional or experimental activities and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. An Associate's or higher degree with a major in a directly related scientific or technical field may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience. Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.- Experience and ability to work with people from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic backgrounds, and across all identities and demographics.

- Occasional evening work required.
- Availability to work Saturdays.
