This opening is for a Technology Product Analyst on the Ideation Team in the State Farm Innovation Group. The Innovation Group is focused on transforming and disrupting the present to accelerate our future. Our team is focused on facilitating consumer research, inspiring and building on the best ideas, evaluating new opportunities, and informing forward-looking strategy. The successful candidate will possess the ability to analyze both internal and external data and trends, utilize storytelling to generate understanding and buy-in, coordinate work among peers and leaders, work in the grey, and maintain strong working relationships with a broad network of business partners. As a team member, you will get the opportunity to work with an amazing team of experience design and ideation professionals who embody the entrepreneurial spirit. You will help the team drive the identification of new opportunities through use of design thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consumer and market research among a variety of stakeholders
• Gather insights and presents findings in executive-ready form
• Tell the story from the consumer perspective
• Demonstrate adaptability and comfort working in the grey
• Build relationships and demonstrate resourcefulness, working with others to drive expected outcomes
• Utilize consumer and marketplace data and trends to develop a deeper understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behavioral drivers of consumers or a particular consumer segment
• Understand the State Farm business and competitive advantages; incorporate that understanding in the presentation of ideas and opportunities
• Think conceptually, creatively solve problems and translate ideas into potential solutions and action items
• Collaborate across several business functions to achieve business results and alignment
• Maintain awareness of trends, interpreting them and applying their implications to our business
• Manage end-to-end assignments in a way that demonstrates an understanding of key consumer/category insights and activate them in relevant strategy and innovation activities
• Incubate ideas, develop low-to-mid-fidelity prototypes to prove out assumptions, and iterate on ideas with pace
• Demonstrate creative intelligence and an entrepreneurial spirit to approach problem solving
• Be curious, think critically, ask insightful questions, use associative thinking, observe, network, and experiment to generate differentiated ideas

• Identify resource and financial commitment needed to operate and grow new opportunities
• Define parameters as to what size/reach/potential the opportunities present
• Create and implement both short-term and long-term innovation strategy
• Leverage design thinking with focus on consumer pain points, validation, and desirability of solutions
• Understand and communicate team vision and requirements


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience in consumer research, human-centered design, experience design, user experience, or related fields
• Comfort analyzing large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data to determine key insights
• Ability to drive project deliverables to achieve business results
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with sophisticated, unstructured initiatives
• Knowledge of MS Office, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and common research tools and methods
