Job Summary

Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Interested individuals must be able and willing to travel. Candidates must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel 5% of the time, and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment.
This is a bargaining unit position (IBEW Local 50) and is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.

This position is based in our Virginia Natural Gas office located in Newport News, VA.
Representative Duties and Responsibility
- Efficiently works a route to complete customer and compliance orders in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures and operator qualifications procedures.
- Observes all safety requirements and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Performs “soft orders” (change of account, deactivate, shut off for nonpayment, 3-year inspections and general inspections).
- Perform minor maintenance to meter sets such as splash guard installations, cleaning, and painting meters/piping.
- Performs meter observations and reads.
