Microwave Techniques is searching for a Sales Engineer in our Gorham, ME location.
What will you do in this role?
* Sells and secures projects and orders with existing customers and prospective customers through inquiries, relationship building, and customer calls.
* Travels to customer facilities to foster/maintain relationships, develop business opportunities, promote our products, and consulting on strategic partnerships.
* Communicates with customers both electronically as well as on the phone.
* Works with quoting team to capture technical requirements.
* Maintains customer relationship throughout the sales cycle, expediting the resolution of customer questions and resolving issues as they arise.
* Work with project management to regularly communicate with customers; negotiate contractual scope changes as required.
* Utilizes CSR to foster strong teamwork and communication documentation to support customer requests.
* Maintain CRM system; create new deals for new leads; create future sales forecast based on expected regular business and potential leads.
* Represent company at trade shows. Engage in technical discussions with new and existing customers, identify prospective customers.
* Prospects new opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers, builds rapport, providing technical information and expertise.
* Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities.
* Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
What do you need to be successful?
* Mechanical and/or Electrical/RF Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
* Curious, creative, and problem solver.
* Self-starter and fast learner.
* Ability to work both independently as well as in a team.
* Must have professional interpersonal skills, active listening, and strong communication skills.
* Knowledge of AS9100D/ISO quality standards and practices.
* Travel required, approximately 25-35%
- Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems preferred.
- Adept at all common computer/software programs such as Microsoft Office products and Adobe.

Salary Range of $75,000 - $120,000 based on experience.
General office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some remote work opportunities.
