Job Summary:
Supervise the daily operations of contributions for annual giving, major gifts, and institutional giving programs and Development administrative team to meet or exceed contributed revenue goals. Recruit, supervise and ensure professional development of the team; provide higher level administrative support for Chief Development Officer and Vice President of Donor Relations, including board report and material preparations; perform other duties as required. This role plays a key role in growing contributed revenue

Core Activities:
- Supervise Development and Senior Development Associates and create an effective and efficient team. Recruit, hire and onboard new staff as needed. Collaborate with division leadership to maintain effective onboarding and relationship building. Conduct regular one-on-one employee support and development meetings, and annual performance reviews.
- Provide guidance and training to development administrative team for their work and communications with donors and businesses. Help the team manage their daily priorities when needed. Monitor work quality and follow up as needed.
- Lead team meetings and training for ongoing support and connection. Partner with Membership Supervisor for teamwork and collaborate effectively.
- Create annual schedules and implement monthly donor renewals for all donor levels and business members through all channels. Ensure letter and email copies are up to date, renewals have been sent and tracked accurately, fulfillment reports are created by the team in timely manner.
- Resolve and respond to elevated donor inquiries and concerns with higher level of customer service. Coach development and membership administrative teams as needed.
- Manage the guest card program. This includes intaking abuse concerns and incidents, investigating and tracking cases, communicating with donors by all channels necessary to address the concerns, taking steps to revoke guest cards when needed, coaching staff in Membership & Development as well as Guest Experience as needed, keeping track of and assess overall cases, and work with the leadership team if it needs to be escalated further. Create and update protocols and business processes as needed. Review letters regularly and make updates.
- Oversee data entry processing for contributions, including auditing and clean-up process for accuracy in timely manner. Review, edit and approve customized acknowledgment letters. Ensure proper maintenance of files for Development and Finance/Accounting.
- Build and provide regular reports and complex lists for Packards’ Circle levels and above. Coordinate the review and updates in CRM, working with Senior Development Associate, including providing guidance to maintain data up to date and working with donor relations team and development leadership for review.
- Implement communications plans for Packards’ Circle and Leadership Council donors, including solicitations, cultivation and stewardship efforts.
- Conduct regular audits of SOPs and business process and manage updates as needed.
- Coordinate Board reports calendars and deadlines for membership & development and provide support for development leadership with materials preparation.
- Work with Donor Relations team and Development Coordinator to support donor events, including those for Packards’ Circle and major donors. Attends events in support role.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Minimum of four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Four or more years of Development/Fundraising program experience in a non-profit organization; experience working with major donors preferred
- Two or more years of experience in managing a team with 3 or more staff.
- Three or more years of experience working with membership and fundraising CRM, Tessitura or Raiser’s Edge preferred
- Experience in providing executive assistant level support for senior leadership
- Ability to work independently, to set and achieve goals with a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and self-supervision.
- Ability to gather and synthesize appropriate information and recommend a course of action, and to report on the progress effectively and proactively
- Strong interpersonal skills; is a self-starter who contributes to a positive work environment

Hourly Compensation Range:
$28.27- $34.62 USD per hour. Starting rate will vary based on previous experience and relevant skills/knowledge set.
