Client Group Overview

The Client Group has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and is composed of five areas:

  • Sales & Client Services works with financial intermediaries and institutions to offer diversified investment solutions that help clients build and preserve their wealth

  • Business Development is a conduit to the firm’s investment teams and supports our clients and internal business partners through investment-platform and product content, messaging, competitive analysis and education

  • Product Strategy & Development designs, develops and manages the firm’s global lineup of investment services and considers clients’ evolving needs to identify new opportunities

  • Marketing promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and events

  • Business Transformation looks to evolve and scale our business, leveraging digital and data, to drive top-line growth and improve profitability

Job Description

We are looking for a Strategic Relationship Group Associate within our National Accounts team. This team is responsible for the home office relationships with all major retail intermediaries (i.e. broker/dealers, banks, independent brokerages, RIAs, etc.). Through these relationships, the SRG team works to promote AB’s brand, advocate the firm’s capabilities, and increase product presence within the retail marketplace.

The Strategic Relationship Group Associate’s primary function is to partner with the Strategic Relationship Managers and Associate Relationship Managers to manage client support and service functions. Day to day responsibilities will include client reporting, organizing client meetings and conferences, managing marketing approvals, and facilitating operational requests. The SRG Associate will be charged with managing projects that span across AB’s various business units including RFP, product management, marketing, legal/compliance, operations, and data management. The SRG associate will act as the liaison between these business units and the rest of the SRG team.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will eventually progress toward an Associate Relationship Manager position within AllianceBernstein.

Job Description

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage client deliverables on both a repeating and ad hoc basis – performance, sales, AUM, competitive analysis, etc.

  • Maintain client information, contacts and updates within the CRM

  • Prepare for partner firm meetings and conferences – book speakers, confirm and prepare attendees, select and arrange for marketing materials and booth preparation.

  • Manage Campaigns within salesforce to track pre/post conference activity and sales.

  • Develop and maintain firm/platform/product-specific marketing material

  • Facilitate Partner Firm Marketing Approvals through working closely with Product, Marketing, and Relationship Managers to determine monthly literature availability and submittals in accordance with Partner Firm guidelines

Job Qualifications & Key Attributes

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A BS or BA; preferably with a background in economics, finance or business administration

  • 0-1 years of industry experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to see things through from beginning to completion

  • Ability to multi-task and manage to tight deadlines

  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team setting.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite - Outlook, Word, OneNote, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Expertise in advanced Excel skills like pivot tables and vlookups is a plus.

  • Series 7 & 66 licenses are required within 6 months of hire date.
