The H-E-B Partner Analytics group is responsible for providing insights to the business around people data in order to drive better, more informed decision making.
As a Statistician I, you'll start taking ownership for assigned advanced analytics-related tasks that help develop People insights and drive business solutions.
Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. What is the work?Analytics:- Works closely with more senior analysts in development of analytical solutions that meet business needs- Takes responsibility for assigned advanced analytics tasks- Builds processes and best practices related to assigned advanced analytics tasks
What is your background?- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 1+ years of experience in an analytical role- 1+ years of experience using statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R)
- 1+ years of experience in a Workforce Analytics, HR Data, People Analytics, or similar role (preferred)
Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Statistician?- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., logistic / linear regression modeling, clustering, sampling, decision trees)- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy)- Strong computer skills, including MS Office- Strong analytical and project management skills- Strong time management skills- Verbal / written communication and presentation skills- Personal leadership skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail- Ability to learn / master new analytical skills- Initiative
Can you...- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays- Work extended hours; sit for extended periods
