Senior IT Compliance Analyst 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Compliance Analyst to join our team. This role will primarily focus on disaster recovery planning and execution (75%) and ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) (25%). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT compliance, disaster recovery, and SOX regulations.

Job responsibilities: 

Disaster Recovery (75%):

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical systems and processes.
  • Coordinate and lead disaster recovery testing and drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure disaster recovery plans are integrated with business impact analysis.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for disaster recovery.
  • Support audit and regulatory requirements for disaster recovery.

SOX Compliance (25%):

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of IT controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT controls to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide evidence of compliance with SOX controls.
  • Document and report on the status of IT controls and assist in remediation efforts.
  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff on SOX compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT compliance, with a focus on disaster recovery and/or SOX.
  • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with SOX regulations and IT control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CBCP) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with risk management, disaster recovery and or SOX tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for disaster recovery and IT compliance.
  • Experience with cloud environments, replication and backup tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
