Key Responsibilities
- Manage Risk Event (REV) process ensuring the completion of root cause analysis, timely resolution of risk events by partnering with multiple areas of the company.
- Coordinate and execute Operational Soundness tasks such as control testing and process reviews in collaboration with Operational Risk Management team. Provide expertise for development, enhancement and implementation of issue management plans
- Conduct complex operational risk analysis, identification and research processes to ensure regulatory, supervisory and business controls are in place while identifying opportunities and recommend solutions to mitigate current and future business risk.
- Partner with Compliance and GCO on reviewing and resolving more complex issues. Utilize exam findings to direct and guide initiatives by validating applicable state, SEC and FINRA rules to business processes and enhancing processes or documentation as necessary
- Provide data for risk reporting as well as enhance risk reporting with new ideas gathered from research, best practices and knowledge and coordinate and the distribution of internal/external reporting across multiple areas of the company, as well as vendors.
- Participate in business-driven projects and Initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4-years)
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Ability to build and develop working knowledge of applicable Industry regulations and standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines and deliver high quality, accurate work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate, communicate, and influence across different levels of an organization.
- Negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with conducting compliance monitoring, audit or similar testing or assurance work in the financial services industry
- Ability to quickly learn new software and create effective communications in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
