Our client, a publishing company, is looking for a Senior Print Designer to join their team. You will work onsite in New Rochelle 3x per week.
A background in educational publishing or general publishing is IDEAL! To be considered for this role, you must have management experience or interest in taking that next step.
The Senior Designer Responsibilities:
-Design the overall look and feel for educational programs- this ranges from designing teachers guides to K-6 books!
-Develop guidelines and templates for programs
-Work within templated inDesign documents add art, enhance the aesthetic, and make sure spacing is correct
-Manage and oversee junior level staff to make sure work is up to design standards
The Senior Designer Qualifications:
-Must have strong layout skills and an eye for design
-A background in educational publishing, magazines or extremely strong catalog and print design is preferred
-Must have strong PM skills, & can work well under pressure
-Must have STRONG InDesign skills and a clean/modern aesthetic
-BONUS if you're familiar with Woodwing!
