PURPOSE:
Supports Company goals with analysis and reporting on customer attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors to uncover unmet customer needs by working independently to: define objectives; select and design appropriate research methodologies; instruct and mentor more junior team members; coordinate with and manage third-party vendors; compose and program questionnaires; research and analyze market data; aggregate secondary information and competitive intelligence; compile behavioral data; check data for quality; analyze and interpret consumer data; prepare reports; make brand, product, communications and strategic business recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Consult with clients directly to determine the appropriate methods and techniques necessary to provide the strategic direction the client seeks. Designs statistically sound research projects, applying industry best practices. Implement and manage high quality qualitative or quantitative primary market research studies. This includes developing the analysis plans and designing questionnaires.
- Conduct detailed analyses and produce reports and presentations summarizing the findings of the analyses. Uncover strategically important insights from multiple data sources and distill findings into actionable reports. Assess the strategic and tactical implications of each set of findings and make recommendations for corrective actions to leadership as necessary. Autonomously present research findings via written reports and oral presentations to corporate and marketing staff.
- Clearly define research objectives, work jointly to resolve any unforeseen problems and to assist project team in managing multiple priorities. Autonomously lead projects from inception to successful conclusion.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 5 years experience in a related market research role, including primary market research.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Business, Market Research, or other quantitative discipline preferred.

- Knowledge and understanding of business operations and marketing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong aptitude for delivering dynamic, engaging, and professional telephone and in-person presentations to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work both on a team and independently.
- Proficiency in or strong aptitude for working with data and conducting analyses using statistical packages, databases and spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in or strong aptitude for working with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, sometimes under pressure and often with tight deadlines.
- Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts and controversial findings clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Good project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Skill in identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Proven ability to translate and integrate business goals & consumer insights into project plans and programs.

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with ability to distill large data sets into meaningful insights and takeaways.
- Knowledge of marketing principles, such as web advertising, performance, and direct response marketing.
- Proficiency in computer programs, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and publishing applications.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills strong client interface and presentation skills are preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels and all departments.
- Excellent skills in market research and data analysis.
Salary Range: $72,648 - $144,287
