JOB SUMMARY
Optimizing production manufacturing processes through developing, planning, and implementing improvements that positively impact safety, quality, labor, and delivery utilizing engineering principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production line technical support
- Provide necessary tooling, routers, labor standards, raw material structure, make vs. buy analysis, process instructions, and technical support for the timely implementation of engineering changes
- Accountable for achieving goals and objectives for the Mfg Engineering group and Operations organization.
- Utilize PLM system including reviewing product design changes and assess manufacturing impact
- Recognize labor impact with process/design changes and implement plans with little impact to Mfg departments.
- Develop business cases, write AFEs for funding procurement
- Develop process changes/improvements using SPC, PFMEA, and control plans
- Utilize root cause analysis methodology to solving manufacturing issues
- Will be working within an ISO 9000 quality system and produce documentation acceptable to the customer
- Must possess excellent planning and organization skills
- Document and report work activity
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Accredited University
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in manufacturing, automotive preferred
- Past experience in Production Supervision a plus
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Past experience in Production Supervision a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise
- Weekends and Travel as required
