The Opportunity
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Senior Manager, Business Development to join our Hyatt Select Team, where you’ll join a team of field professionals who love what they do. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Commercial Services Team, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
We are seeking a self-motivated Sales Professional who is an expert in driving high-value revenue to directly impact Hyatt Select Hotels, specializing in midscale and upper-midscale brands, driving transient and group business to support the success of the brand launch. This will be accomplished through collaboration with Hyatt Sales Force Global and National Sales to grow current customer relationships while also uncovering new high-value business opportunities not currently managed by Hyatt today to increase Hyatt’s share of wallet. Understanding key demand generators that drive business to new Hyatt Select Markets to achieve quicker RAMP, building B2B customer relationships to drive greater transient and group business for Hyatt as a whole, and the ability to collaborate with Franchise Owners/Operators will be essential to the success of the Hyatt Select brand.
Position Responsibilities:
•Ability to uncover and manage account portfolio of key revenue generation opportunities within the Americas region, developing relationships directly with customers to grow Hyatt's share of wallet
•Acquire new business opportunities that directly impact Hyatt Select Markets to impact quicker ramp to fair market share and sustained market share performance both post-opening and post-conversion
•Ability to uncover new business opportunities that are currently not managed by the Hyatt Sales Force, National Sales, and/or not currently utilizing Hyatt Essential Brands
•Strategic connection between customers and hotel commercial performance to execute revenue generation initiatives and proactive sales opportunities
•Expert use of Market analytics tools to research potential acquisition accounts for Hyatt, focused on group, transient, and leisure segments
•Solicitation & qualification of new accounts to meet/exceed leads generated goals, revenue goals, and/or quota goals through market analysis, direct solicitation through telephone calls, digital communications, or outside calls
•Collaboration across multiple departments to evolve and scale efforts, including but not limited to Hyatt Sales Force and National Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, Operations, Openings, and Learning Teams to support Revenue and Net Rooms Growth goals
•Brand representative of Hyatt Selects and Hyatt Corporate at Industry Events to create brand awareness and build customer relationships
•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values

Experience
•Minimum 5 years sales experience required
•Hospitality experience in the midscale and upper mid-scale segment, experience with hotel transitions/conversions preferred
•Self-starter, strong sales knowledge of transient, group, and leisure
•Experience with multiple hotels and/or multiple brands, strong transient and group, supporting focused-service brands preferred
•Strong sales knowledge across all segments of travel
Education
•Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business required
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
•Efficient with computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
•Envision, TravelClick Suite, Salesforce.com, and CVENT Transient RFP proficiency
Additional Comments and Requirements
•Ability to travel primarily in the region, approximately 25-50%
•Outstanding time management, building customer relationships, and problem-solving skills
•Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and displays an agile work ethic
•Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to execute tasks based on changing market conditions

The salary range for this position is $95,500 to $124,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
