What You’ll Do:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing key insights to enable enlightened decision making within a rapidly growing, ambitious organization. This critical role will lead various financial activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting for an acute care facility, providing insight into underlying business dynamics. This role will contribute to other initiatives as they arise; and can own and contribute to processes of the broader organization.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability. Assist in long-term and short-term financial planning to align with organizational goals.
- Budget Preparation and Management: Collaborate with finance leadership as well as department heads to create annual budgets. Monitor revenue and expenses and analyze variances between actual performance and the expectation.
- Variance Analysis & Insight: Work with budget owners to develop and prepare insightful reporting and analysis on a recurring and ad-hoc basis to communicate business performance to key internal stakeholders. Provide ad-hoc financial support on an as-needed basis. Summarize and present financial and operational trends and key metrics for management and stakeholders. Provide insights and recommendations to address underperformance or inefficiencies.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze large sets of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Strategic Financial Support: Conceptualizes, develops, and presents business cases to present to leadership based on data-driven recommendations for strategic initiatives such as investments, cost reductions, or growth opportunities. Participate in special financial and business-related studies as needed to support project objectives. Assess the financial viability of new projects, acquisitions, or partnerships.
- Organizational Partnership: Partners with other departments in the preparation of analysis and to identify improvement opportunities that can provide positive results to the bottom line. Contributes to critical planning and analysis processes. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and some project direction input.
- Risk Analysis and Management: Identify financial risks (e.g., cash flow risks, economic fluctuations, regulatory matters) and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Excellence: Streamline financial processes, such as reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, to improve efficiency. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operations of the organization’s overall efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Utilize automation tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Sage, Prophix) to optimize workflows. Develop tools, scorecards, and models to analyze and communicate financial performance to Operations partners and Finance Leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support other departments in the design, verification of, and reporting of financial and other numerical metrics; provide analytical support.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities in budgeting and forecasting, as well as leading process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in business administration preferred
- Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

Total RewardsThe typical hiring range for this position is $83,269-$99,916 annually, based on relevant years of experience.
