Vision 2030 is our long-term commitment to transform the treatment of autoimmune diseases by strengthening our leadership in neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) biology, investing in our continuous pipeline of differentiated antibody candidates, and scaling in a disciplined way to ensure innovation remains core to the argenx mission. ‘Vision 2030’ includes the following goals: 50,000 patients globally on treatment with an argenx medicine, 10 labeled indications across all approved assets, including VYVGART and potentially empasiprubart and ARGX-119 and five new molecules in Phase 3 development.

The Global Market Access lead will play a critical role in strategy development and execution of global market access & payer strategies for inline and pipeline indications and assets in collaboration with the regional teams.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define an innovative and impactful access strategy narrative for argenx - how is argenx as a company creating value for society / health care systems – in alignment with legal, corporate communications, market access teams, and others
  • Develop initial global pricing strategies and indication sequencing for pipeline indications and assets, in alignment with the Global Access Forum, commercialization teams, finance, Regulatory Affairs and legal
  • Work with global development teams and Regulatory Affairs regional teams to optimize trial designs so they reflect payer requirements, by incorporating regional feedback and needs in a timely manner; Ensure trade-off discussions are held balancing speed with optimal evidence
  • Bring forward innovative contracting strategies and offers to bring value to customers and the company, ensuring argenx is at the forefront of innovation
  • Partner with HEOR and Regional Market Access teams to identify the unmet medical need in any of the disease areas of interest and generate the data to support value story narratives and meet/exceed payer evidentiary thresholds

Capability building

  • Build and develop the Market Access and Pricing mindset among global development teams
  • Monitors market landscape for emerging trends, opportunities and threats
  • Key member of pricing committee
  • Participate in the Global Market Access Forum to ensure cohesive market access and pricing strategy for in-line assets, and to help support alignment

Pipeline and portfolio

  • Drive development of global market access & payer strategies for pipeline indications and assets
  • Oversee launch sequencing based on market and payer insights
  • Determines early Market Access potential for pipeline indications and assets including TPP, Value proposition and launch markets, incorporating insights from market/regional teams
  • Serves as representative on Global Indication Strategy Team, consolidating and reconciling feedback from all markets

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Market Access leadership experience including US and ex-US
  • Experience with product in a portfolio and multiple presentations a plus
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and develop across teams and global markets
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Proven success developing pricing and market access strategies globally
  • Broad product-commercialization/marketing acumen including demand generation, market segmentation, digital marketing, strategy development and competitor assessment
  • Critical thinking including observation, analysis, being able to succinctly articulate a problem and identify a solution
  • Relentless business and commercial acuity with the ability to recommend how to deliver results through deep empiricism and engagement with context experts
  • Highly organized and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, thinking creatively to drive execution in a resource optimal way
  • A sense of urgency and a passion for helping patients and their communities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred); MBA preferred
  • 10 years of experience in marketing and/or relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where co-creation and partnership is key
  • Experience effectively managing external agency partners, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to effectively implement strategies and programs
  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotion
  • Strong project management, communication, and organization skills
  • Agility, proven ability to influence without authority and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to achieve positive results
  • Launch readiness experience preferred
  • Travel: approximately 25%
