Job Description
The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring equitable and competitive compensation practices within the Company, and is responsible for a comprehensive array of compensation-related activities including but not limited to analyzing and evaluating compensation data, developing and implementing salary structures, conducting market research, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure our compensation programs attract and retain top talent in both the US and Canada.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.
Act as the face of the Compensation function with HR Business Partners and managers on compensation matters like discussions on appropriate salary ranges for new job profiles, pay for new hires, and pay for internal promotions which align to Tricon's policies and compensation infrastructure.
Use specialized training, experience, and knowledge in the field of compensation management to help create policies and procedures for the function, incorporating industry best practices where applicable in support of the Company's Compensation Philosophy.
Exercise discretion and independent judgement to evaluate how compensation policies can best be improved over time to address novel situations impacting the function after various possibilities have been considered.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of compensation data to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness, and present findings to management.
Help develop and then maintain salary structures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
Compile and submit data for external salary surveys and benchmarking studies, and use the results of those surveys to evaluate our position relative to the external market.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other analyses to communicate compensation trends and recommendations to HR and Company leadership.
Assist in the administration of variable pay programs, and help design incentive plans to motivate eligible team members and improve performance.
Conduct job evaluations and provide recommendations on placement of new job profiles into the Company's salary grades, and help set competitive variable pay targets for new roles that align to the career path for the role and the Company's standards and policies.
Stay up to date on federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation to ensure compliance.
Support compensation-related projects such as annual compensation reviews and incentive plan redesigns.
Develop expertise in the Company's Human Capital Management system (Workday) and recommend ways to improve compensation-related processes and use the system to provide compensation information and insights to the HR team and managers across the organization.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and polished presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to diverse audiences.
Proven experience in compensation analysis, salary structure design, and market research.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven recommendations.
Proficiency in compensation survey methodologies and statistical analysis.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and ensure sensitive and confidential information is secured.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to compensation practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or related field.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with the HCM and Advanced Compensation modules of Workday preferred.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.

Salary Range
Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.
