Position Summary:
The Senior Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role involves working closely with vendors, internal departments, and management to maintain efficient financial operations and compliance with company policies.Oversee a team of 3 A/P Administrators.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety first, in everything we do.
- Manage team members to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.
- Provide team members with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
- Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
- Discuss job performance problems with team members to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.
- Train and instruct team members in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
- Evaluate team members' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action.
- Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff.
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
- Code documents according to company procedures.
- Selects the most appropriate procedures from a given set of solutions/procedures. Accountable for the completion of standard and non-standard tasks, within the scope of the function.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, AP processes, and financial systems.
- Experience with the construction ERP system, Trimble One Construction (TC-1), or similar helpful but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- PC Proficiency (including Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Team player, including the ability to interact with project personnel and vendor accounts receivable representatives to resolve issues that may arise.
- Ability to adapt to different personalities and management style,s including interacting with all levels.
