Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing advisors; influences advisor choices using a consultative sales process and other performance improvement systems (ex. Territory Analysis Program (TAP), Quality Sales Call, etc.). Partner with RVP and RSD to creaete a model of accountability and defined roles to maximize efficency covering the territory.
- Manage and develop systems to create efficiencies (scheduling/rotations, meeting preparation & follow-up, recognizing advisor sales, budget management, etc.). Prioritize and manage daily, weekly, and monthly workload.
- Travel within territory to conduct one-on-one Ameriprise Financial Advisor sales calls, conduct client events, and to deliver group presentations, including continuing education/training.
- Research and communicate industry changes and trends that may impact company or product positioning, with both internal and external customers.
- Complete required coursework in order to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and licenses. Support corporate initiatives by maintaining knowledge base about key Ameriprise initiatives and assisting in their implementation.
- 5+ years of successful training or direct selling experience with proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly.
- 5+ years of industry experience in insurance and financial markets or financial planning.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Demonstrated ability working with consultative sales process.
- Upon hire, obtain Territory States Securities & Territory Insurance License (Health, Life & Variable).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Series 6
State securities agent registrations (Series 63 or Series 66)
Life and Health Licenses or able to obtain within 90-days of hire.
3 to 5 years relevant Experience
1-3 years' experience in financial services industry, financial sales or financial wholesaling
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Effective presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
FLU, CFP, CMFC, CRPS
3+ years' experience in financial services industry, financial sales or financial wholesaling
