Job Description
SUMMARY
Must work in a safe manner to insure zero accidents, observe all plant safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety rules and regulations. Responsible for accurate maintenance of records according to the position. Must follow all department paperwork procedures as well as all verbal and/or written instructions and guidelines according to job requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Must be able to learn and safely operate various machinery and production equipment, up to and including changing over equipment
* Must be able to perform manual tasks to which support the continuous operation of production lines
* Must maintain simple records and paperwork related to the position
* Must be able to perform sanitation maintenance on all equipment required of the position
* Must be able to perform basic computer skills
* Responsible for food quality and safety
EDUCATION
* High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, required
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
* 1 – 2 years previous experience in food manufacturing, preferred
* Flexible to work overtime in difference shifts and at times with short-notice.
* Intermittent lifting of over 50 pounds without assistance or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
* Ability to work respectfully and efficiently with others
* Continuous mental and visual attention is required to perform duties, involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity
* Ability to perform visual inspections of materials and products
* Ability to record data on paper and/or using computer systems
* Ability to work in extreme temperatures, working at heights and exposure to dust, gases, fumes, and chemicals.
* Perform other physical tasks that include pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking, climbing (stairs and/or ladders), standing and sitting
* Ability to use common hand tools (i.e. screw driver) to perform a wide array of duties including fine manipulation and gripping
