Shift: This role is 5th Shift, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $19.38 an hour + $1.50 shift differential

Conagra Brands in Darien, WI a local supplier of Birds Eye products, is seeking qualified individuals to fill entry level openings in the production department for A shift. Reporting to Production Supervisors, you will work on-site at one of Conagra's largest manufacturing facilities with over 800 employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform and become proficient at several production jobs done within the facility.
To manually or automatically assemble cases to meet production requirements/specifications.
Monitor auto filled bags or trays for required fill weight, back seal, end seal, label placement, date code and label accuracy to requirements/specifications.
Select acceptable bags/units for hand casing for case count, orientation and placement
Report deviations from product requirements to the operators or supervisors
Visually inspect products and ingredients for blemishes or other flaws, extraneous vegetable material or discolored units
Stop production to report any serious deviation in quality or operating parameters, or malfunction of line equipment
Maintain work area by completing housekeeping and janitorial responsibilities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Be proficient in English (writing and speaking) to perform all responsibilities
Must be able to complete basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Can lift, push, pull and carry up to 30lbs through the shift.
Must be able to walk, stand and bend constantly through the entire shift.
Must be able to work 8, 10 or 12 hours in a shift, either day or night
Can work in an environment that averages 40 - 44 degrees Fahrenheit
Must learn and follow quality control points and practices (GMP's/HACCP/FSMA)
Must work well with others as a production team.
Must have reliable attendance.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
$19.37 per hour + $1.50 per hour attendance bonus
