Job Description Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for building the production plan for the Nampa Plant and coordinating the availability of finished good components (raw materials and packaging) to support U.S. manufacturing operations within GoGo squeeZ warehouses and the organization at large. GoGo squeeZ has two U.S. plants, a high-growth atmosphere, superior quality manufacturing processes and deep creativity on the innovation side, making the work of the supply chain team integral to our overall business model and operations. This individual is tasked with managing multiple and sometimes competing priorities ranging in scope from day to day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Construction of Production Plan
- Responsible for the development of a production plan, by SKU, production line, and week for up to 52 rolling weeks, that is feasible for the Nampa production plant to execute against
- Ensure a coherent and optimized distribution of the productions between sites with regards to the objectives of operations, needs for supply of the business units, costs and the company flows.
- Communicate the updated plan with all relevant stakeholders and adjust as needed to ensure the component availability.
- Analyzes gaps between supply requests and production plan with Inventory Specialists and reconciles them with finished goods Supply Planners on weekly basis.
- Load the manufacturing plan in VIF, the factories ERP software on a weekly basis.
- Define the minimum launched quantities for the new SKU.
- Optimize manufacturing schedules in collaboration with the Plant Supply Chain teams.
- Work closely with factory schedulers to ensure planning alignment around production line stoppages and planning volumes
- Act as a backup for the Traverse City Production Planner
- Planning and Supply of Manufacturing Components
- Ensure component availability is feasible for the constructed production plan and adjust accordingly if needed.
- Define and challenge the component stock policies needed to optimize the balance between inventory levels and flexibility
- Lead the operational phasing of the changes for components related to promotions, discontinuations, transitions, and launches
- Ensure the implementation of process changes required to support innovations that follow shorter than standard lead times
- Reporting risks and mitigating as necessary
- Monitor and challenge the component obsolescence risks
- Reporting and Data Management
- Define and maintain key performance indicators related to activities within scope
- Ensure data IT compliance as it relates to the position requirements in AZAP and VIF
- Maintain relevant MRP and Item data in Nampa VIF system
- Lead time families, safety stock targets, ABC Classification, etc.
- Support the review and analysis of our Component Inventory projection tool
- Operational Alignment and Coordination
- Participates in the US operational committee to present the production plan, the labor organization, and the component obsolescence risks.
- Collaborate with and support the teams (Supply Planning / Purchasing / Production / PMO / IT / Marketing / Data Management / Commercialization) on various topics and tools related to component and production planning
- Define, support, and audit the processes related to components availability to ensure production plan feasibility
- Risk Management and Mitigation
- Develop strategies for identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum degree and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field or 2+ years relevant experience in a planning or scheduling role
- ERP/MRP Systems Proficiency: Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems for effective resource management is preferred.
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Aptitude for identifying potential issues, analyzing data, and developing creative solutions to ensure smooth production processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various departments such as procurement, logistics, and manufacturing, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Analytical Skills: Skills to interpret data, track performance metrics, and optimize production processes preferred.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing production demands and handle the dynamic nature of manufacturing operations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all tasks.
- Multi-tasking: Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and objectives simultaneously.
Working Conditions
Location:Nampa, ID
Work is performed largely in an office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Up to 10% business travel may be required.

Total Rewards
- Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000
