The Business Analyst is ultimately responsible for managing all procurement spend (ie. Tableau), analyzing to help evaluate trends and savings opportunities to support the business needs. The Business Analyst will manage formal RFPs working with the vendors to leverage/negotiate deals in the best interest of the organization. This person will also present data results and strategy to executive leadership.

When will you work?

  • This position will work a hybrid schedule in our Swedesboro, NJ office, 2 days a week in office.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for analyzing large datasets to evaluate vendor and firm performance.
  • Summarize insights from analysis and clearly communicate analytical findings in a cohesive story to be presented to executives.
  • Provide detailed analysis using large data sets to monitor key performance indicators for the firm/department.
  • Conduct market research, evaluate trends, and conduct commodity analysis to identify savings.
  • Undertake market analysis/modeling, portfolio metric reporting, and operational support related to the firm/department’s strategy.
  • Responsible for building appropriate external and internal vendor-facing materials.
  • Provide analytical support to all aspects of the procurement team’s negotiation/deal process.
  • Perform financial analysis and budget modeling to identify and validate savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to analyze forecast requirements to meet sales demand (Demand planning/ROP management)
  • Conduct procurement activities within the firm’s applicable Policies and Procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

Who you are:

  • Gained at least two years of hands-on experience in analytics.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of large data management
  • Have a proven history of implementing and executing business intelligence systems (ideal applicants should be able to use Tableau, Power BI)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate the insights from findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • You are intellectually curious with strong creative and imaginative prowess to generate ideas to solve business problems.
  • Critical thinker able to draw sound conclusions from information and various data sources at your disposal. It is crucial that you can separate relevant information from less vital ones with respect to solving a particular business problem.
  • Capable of analyzing data objectively, applying logical thought and proffering solutions, taking a long-term perspective.
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills: You can work with large data sets to provide analytical support to procurement
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Decision-making involves some level of uncertainty, so it is important that you are comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Have gained advanced Excel skills and be proficient in PowerPoint for presentation purposes.
  • Thrive in working with cross-functional teams and confident interacting directly with senior executives across departments
  • Strong prioritizing skills and able to execute multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment

What you’ve done:

  • Obtained a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Economics, Statistics, or in a related field.
  • Must have analytics experience in Tableau, Power BI or equivalent.

Bonus Points:

  • Have 2-3 years of purchasing, analytics, or related experience.
  • Worked with ERPs, preferably with MAS500, Coupa, Netsuite, SAP, Oracle or similar
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred
