Team (Project) Introduction
The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity manages and enhances the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which resides on one Oracle M8 Supercluster database and thirteen application servers. Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications to include Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. We also provide management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for EDW applications as well as enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics.

An Engineer, 2 has a good understanding of the software development life cycle and can take on work without much direction majority of the time. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer, 2 has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and assists in the resolution of complex problems. An Engineer, 2, has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain Power BI reports.
- Structure data in Power BI.
- Engineer and develop Power BI capabilities to align with existing and emerging requirements.
- Power BI system design, modernization and innovate solution experience
- Participate in team calls and meetings.
- Provides accurate and timely status reports on the progress of assigned tasks.
- Provides data and performance metrics for official reporting deliverables.
- Coach and mentor lesser experienced junior developers.
- Creates and maintain documentation on Power BI processes and procedures, and participate in period reviews of existing processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical disciplines (an additional 8 years of relevant work experience can substitute for degree).
- 8+ years of relevant experience including 4+ years’ experience developing Power BI dashboarding and reporting products, especially data warehousing solutions.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

On site in Washington DC.
