Full Job Description

Description:Follow general instructions, standard procedures and other oral or written instructions to mix and pour plaster and plastic, form plastic laminations and cast rough patterns, and perform other patternmaking operations.
Construct wood or metal skeletons and bases, trim outer surfaces of plaster and plastic patterns, saw and file templates from E.M.D's, layouts or vinylite.
Use hand tools such as scrapers, chisels, abrasive cloths and air gun with grinding disc to finish surfaces of rough patterns.
Shellac and identify patterns, using brush pen or lettering stamps.
Model and fair in plaster, clay and plastic patterns, and mockups between governing templates.
Assist higher grade pattern maker with more difficult plaster, plastic, and clay pattern fabrication operations.
Perform routine template layout and fabrication duties and other similar and related duties in conjunction with patternmaking requirements or when own work is not available.
Refer unusual conditions or recurring difficulties to working leader or foreman.
As required segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices
Basic Qualifications:
Requires ability to work from E.M.D's, layouts, vinylites, or ordinary drawings, 3-42 and use arithmetic involving decimals and fractions, hand tools, and
micrometers, scale, square, shrink scale, and other precision measuring instruments. Also requires some knowledge of plaster forming and casting.
Equivalent to high school plus 2 to 3 years trades training.

Experience: 6 to 12 months, or equivalent SIK experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
