Provides safe, effective, and appropriate care for patients on antimicrobials and those being treated for infectious diseases within pharmacist scope of practice at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Under the direction of Pharmacy Services leadership, the antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist assists in planning, organizing, and monitoring the delivery of antimicrobial stewardship pharmacy services at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Minimum Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Minimum Work Experience
- Previous experience as an Infectious Disease or Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist preferred.
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy residency preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
- Board Certification in Infectious Disease Preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excel in Microsoft office suites such as Word and Excel.
- Recognizes and reports practice deviations to improve the medication system.
- Communication with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff and other health professionals (within the hospital and community) will be significant.
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.
Pay Range = $59.90 - $95.67
