A Peer Specialist is needed to help us in our endeavor to build the healthiest community in the nation … one person at a time.
This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, which opened in late 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. This voter-approved facility provides licensed, equitable and culturally relevant care and treatment to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders. What You’ll Do: As a Peer Specialist we will use your life experience from your personal journey of recovery of addiction and/or mental health challenges to engage, advocate, and link SummitStone Health Partners clients to formal or informal treatment activities, services, and/or supports. A Peer Specialist cultivates mutual, supportive relationships with clients as they navigate through systems. This looks like highlighting strengths, sitting in discomfort, and walking side-by-side with clients as they move toward goals of their choosing. Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
