Responsibilities:
*Interview patients to obtain demographic information
*Verify insurance eligibility and obtain insurance authorization
*Input patient registration information into computer system
*Provide accurate information to patients and outside entities
*Discuss financial arrangements with patients and family members
*Direct patients to correct locations and arrange patient transport
*Maintain patient charts and inventory of supplies
*Participate in process improvement initiatives
*Serve as an onboarding resource for new patient services staff
Education Qualification:
*High School diploma or GED
Required Skills:
*Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation
*Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures
*Skill in using personal computers and software applications
*Interpersonal and customer service skills
*Verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility
