Purpose:
The Proctor Coordinator hires, trains, and oversees exam proctors during testing sessions to ensure that all procedures and protocols are followed correctly. You will ensure a secure, fair, and smooth exam administration environment by coordinating proctoring teams, monitoring test integrity, and handling any issues that may arise during exams. You will report to the Faculty Support Sr. Supervisor.
This is a part-time (50% effort) one-year term limited position. Schedule varies depending on the time of year and exam activities.
Responsibilities*
Proctor Management (40%)
- Interview, select and train proctors for all exams (accommodations, regular, and conflict), and serve as supervisor for proctors.
- Develop and deliver regular training programs for all proctors on best practices and procedures, ensuring adherence to established procedures and maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
- Coordinate exam signups and reconcile and approve proctor's timesheets via Wolverine Access.
- Plan, direct and monitor Proctor's performance during exams and provide feedback for improvement, including disciplinary actions.
Exam Proctor Coordination (40%)
- Partner and work directly with the Accommodations Coordinator to ensure seamless support and execution of exam proctors for Ross faculty and students. This includes:
- Schedule and organize proctoring services for exams and assessments, ensuring that all necessary resources and accommodations are in place.
- Develop and deploy web-based surveys, i.e., SignUp Genius, resource pages or other tools to allow efficient flow of information between faculty, proctors, and staff.
- Create and maintain accurate records and data collection of proctor names and activity.
Customer Service and Communication (20%)
- Serve as a primary contact for all inquiries related to proctoring, providing excellent customer service. Communicate directly with temporary staff and faculty regarding how their accommodation and regular exams will be supported, troubleshooting any unusual needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, which includes serving as the school's subject matter expert to create and manage a healthy pool of proctors throughout the academic year.
- Communicate effectively with students, proctors, and testing center staff to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications*
- An Associate degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in fields such as higher education, special education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in an educational or testing environment.
- Experience as an exam proctor or similar role
- Knowledge of testing protocols

Salary Information: The posting range for this position is $24,850 to $29,150. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
