Paralegal (Cambridge, MA)
You will provide paralegal support to the Legal Compliance function in North America responding to legal questions, fair market value/compliance direction, assisting with delivering training programs as well as the creation of training reports and communications to people leaders regarding training gaps on their teams while performing desk audits and other monitoring activities consistent with the annual compliance monitoring plan, assisting with special projects, as needed.
Your role:
Working directly with business clients under the direction of the Director of Legal Compliance or Compliance Officers to provide guidance related to interactions with Health Care Providers, Health Care Organizations or Key Thought Leaders. This may include but is not limited to assisting with needs assessments, fair market value questions, and unique contracting needs.
Responsible for reviewing and approving HCP nominations in the current workflow tool for managing HCP interactions, including confirming the business’ fair market valuation for healthcare provider agreements is consistent with company established requirements and escalate as needed.
Primary legal reviewer of requests for customer concessions as a result of a potential legal claim and engages with relevant sales attorney to identify concerns and align on next steps; this role will assist in the expansion of the global transparency reporting process, including the roll-out of a global tool to facilitate more accurate reporting.
Perform legal research on enforcement trends and pending legislation and analyze potential impact to Philips and propose ways to enhance the Legal Compliance program as a result; Provide compliance program support activities to the various compliance officers supporting businesses in North America.
Provide guidance on reference site and show site agreements, and related non-disclosure agreements; this role will assist with managing and recording educational grants approved in Philips’ various business segments, while compiling various monthly or regular reports to Management, including the preparation of the materials for the quarterly compliance committee meetings.
You're the right fit if:
You have acquired 3+ years of experience within an in-house law department or a sciences/medical device company including knowledge of LEAN processes for management of high volume of contracts.
You have a bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate.
Your skills include proficiency with MS Office and internet applications (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), effective communication, strong organizational and project management skills; processing, and drafting of department documents; ability to utilize detail and depth of legal understanding to assist with training materials.
You are detail oriented, self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA.
