WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
As a member of The Nature Conservancy's Stewardship & Field Programs (SAF) team in Florida, the Operations Program Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of two critical conservation areas: the Disney Wilderness Preserve (DWP) and Tiger Creek Preserve (TCP). These preserves are part of our Center for Conservation Initiatives (CCI) and serve as hubs for groundbreaking environmental stewardship and research. You will ensure smooth operational functions by coordinating logistics for special events and meetings, managing purchasing and budget tracking, and maintaining central filing systems. You will also participate in facility management, telecommunications management, and reception. Your efforts will directly contribute to TNC's mission by streamlining processes and improving efficiency, enabling staff and partners to focus on advancing conservation initiatives. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will help create an organized and effective framework that supports the success of these critical programs.
This role is more than administrative-it's about creating a foundation for transformational work. From ensuring compliance with safety protocols to overseeing facility management and emergency preparedness, you'll be a key player in helping us achieve meaningful results for people and nature in Florida.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
- Experience performing one or more administrative processes.
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;
- Ability to analyze information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating activities, and solving problems;
- Ability to apply research skills;
- Ability to write and edit written materials for use with program communications and special events;
- Database skills, including managing and tracking data, and producing reports;
- Excellent customer service skills and focus;
- Experience, coursework, or other training in relevant field; and/or
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $24.25 - $26.50 hourly rate. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
