Job Summary
Responsible for three key functions within the Division; Service Level Management - managing inventory & surplus: ensure proper stocking of inventory in all branches for the Division. Review reports daily and use the information to formulate and implement plans of action to mitigate service level risks. Division Support Services: provide support services to the entire Division with a primary focus of supporting the Product Management teams. Financial Analysis: monitor Division financials to ensure gross margin growth targets are met.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage Service Levels - review days of supply reports, review open purchase order reports, manage surplus, request stock transfers, manage back orders, expedite delivery of products, process vendor returns, review DEDs, manage slot holds, and manage surplus product break downs and component harvesting.
- Work with Purchasing & AP to resolve vendor issues - review over bill notices, review problem tickets, process debit and credit memos, resolve low-level sourcing issues.
- Divisional Support Services - create sales and profitability reports, perform product and pricing setup in SAP, negotiate with suppliers, review contracts, resolve divisional process issues, provide support for marketing projects and programs, and provide product phone support.
- Financial Analysis - gather and organize financial data, accrual setup, reclassification of expenses, G&A optimization across product categories, import and domestic freight absorption optimization, correction of erroneous charges, monitor for data accuracy).
- Provide technical and operations support as needed. Including monitoring of inventory, SAP reporting, AP issues, etc.
- Serve as subject matter expert on all data and reporting systems (SAP, Sales Menu, PIR, Catalyst, etc.) and provide training to Division personnel as needed.
- Perform division-level data management and analysis.
Required Experience:
Education
- Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in business or operational analysis, trending analysis and/or process improvement.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
- Experience with SAP and AS400.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Applied Statistics
- Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
