$75.458 - $97.365 - $119.272The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
Assists inpatient physicians in managing the care of the Diabetes patients. Collaborates with medical team, hospitalists, and other health team members to ensure maintenance of Diabetes patient care standards and continuity of care. Performs inpatient extended role procedures as defined by Standardized Procedures to facilitate the timely and appropriate care process of the Diabetes population. Collaboratively sets parameters and guidelines for continuum of care with the multidisciplinary team. Educates patients and families regarding expected course for inpatient stay. Participates in continuing education programs, current literature reviews to maintain and upgrade skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- 5 Years experience as a Diabetes Nurse Educator.
- Experience as a Diabetes nurse practitioner.
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing
- California Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certificate - CA Board of Registered Nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) - Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education
Preferred Qualifications
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration - U.S. Department of Justice -PREFERRED
