Role Summary: The material handler will be responsible for inventory within the facility. This involves receiving/ shipping material, distribution of material throughout the facility, and managing inventory discrepancies.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock, recording location of inventory
- Maintains accuracy in recording material transactions, such as receiving
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by packing/ crating/ securing material
- Supports the production floor by moving material
- Supports and performs work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations
- Processes components in compliance with internal processing requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Detail oriented, organizational skills
- Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies
- Ability to use manual equipment and hand tools safely
- Understanding of manufacturing and quality procedures in a lean manufacturing environment
- Basic computer understanding and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree, or equivalent Technical School certification
- Expertise with various fork trucks
- Prior computer skills in Microsoft suite
- Proficy experience
- Oracle experience
