Master Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance and some instrumentation of the Destrehan, LA soybean processing facility. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge's Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Main Accountabilities
* Ability to read and understand ladder logic - troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Brady) systems
* Calibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentation, use handheld communication (TREX is a plus)
* Responsible for plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 480VAC or less)
* Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
* Ability to perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
* Ability to follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics
* Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment
* Maintain electrical switchgear
* Ability to lay out and install conduit
* Working knowledge of thermography
* Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Technical Competencies
* PLC experience, preferred
* HVAC experience, preferred
* Written/Verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
* Ability to work in a safety conscious environment
* Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
Education/Experience
* High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
* Associate degree and/or technical certification, preferred
* 5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferred
Work Schedule
* Overtime required as part of the normal schedule, call out availability, and an on-call rotation
