Full Job Description
Are you an energetic, self-starting marketer who likes to own projects and see results?
We are searching for a temporary Marketing Assistant who will help Riverside with the following tasks:
Social Media Content Creation:
-
- Produce 2-3 engaging mini-videos for social media per month, including program tours and employee interviews (must have a car and be able to travel to Riverside programs)
- Write and design posts for Diversity & Inclusion awareness campaigns using Canva.
- Write and design posts for employee engagement activities.
Event Scheduling & Coordination:
-
- Assist in organizing and supporting occasional in-person events, including ordering food, décor, and general event setup
- Support marketing efforts for events, including invitation and program printing, signage, etc.
Merchandise Management:
-
- Manage and fulfill Riverside-branded merchandise requests with established vendors.
- Oversee the Riverside-branded merchandise pop-up store, ensuring smooth operation and customer satisfaction.
Other marketing duties:

- Assist with media relations. Coordinate press releases and place calendar events.
- Maintain and organize the organization’s media library, including photos, videos, and marketing collateral.
Administrative Support:

- Process and manage credit card transactions and reconciliations.
- Coordinate sponsorship payments and RSVP management for sponsored events.
- Prepare and assemble “fair kits” for community outreach events.
- Update and maintain the 8x8 communication platform on a biweekly basis.
Schedule: 2-3 days each week, 9 am to 5 pm with some flexibility; approximately 6-8 months. This is a fully in-person position in our Dedham location.
Rate: $20.00-$22.00/hour depending on experience
Required Skills
- High level of multi-tasking ability
- Great understanding of social media and ability to create mini-videos using Canva
- Knowledge of designing in Canva
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Superior organizational abilities and time-management skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
