About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Loan Processor (SAFE) on the President’s Club Processing Team as part of Home Lending Processing and Operations. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.


In this role, you will:

  • Support complex administrative, customer support and operational processes on home loan applications, including timely communication with external customers, agents, brokers, and counterparties to obtain missing information and documentation, submit loans for underwriting review
  • Identify ways to improve customer service experience.
  • Perform file review of complex home loan applications, communicate with customers in timely manner, review documentation and obtain missing information, clear stipulations, submit loans to underwriting for review, ensure all compliance and underwriting guidelines are met.
  • Prioritize and manage assigned pipeline to meet deadlines and performance metrics.
  • Provide guidance training to less experienced Loan Processors
  • Receive direction from supervisor and escalate non-routine questions to more experienced staff.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal and external customers, and other counter-parties
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Loan Processing, Customer Service, Loan Administration, Collections, or Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years' experience with Non-Conforming/Non-Agency/JUMBO Loans
  • 1 plus years' Experience with CORE
  • Strong Communication verbal and written skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and interpret data.

Job Expectations:

  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

  • Candidate MUST reside within a reasonable commute to one of the locations listed below.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
  • This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your employment start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website (http://fedregistry.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position. Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
