Northmarq is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of a DUS Loan Processor to join our team in Dallas, Denver, Omaha or Washington DC. This role supports the Underwriters, Analysts, and upper management all while ensuring outstanding client service. The individual will play a vital role in transitioning a loan request from our Screening Team to our Underwriting Team. The candidate will follow this transaction through to Closing. To be successful in this position one must utilize strong, proactive communication and organizational skills. The individual should remain flexible as they may be asked to cover office administrative duties on occasion.
*This position is an in-office position, with an immediate start date.
Position Responsibilities:
Transaction Setup and Communication:
- Establish a collaborative workspace on Microsoft Teams to enhance teamwork and streamline document sharing.
- Manage Salesforce deal records, ensuring accurate and updated information for internal monitoring and reporting.
- Organize the active deal file tree, transferring documents from Prospective Loan File to DUS Loan Files.
- Coordinate and distribute call invitations via Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Gather proposals from third-party vendors (Engineering, Environmental, Appraisals, Zoning reports).
- Prepare and distribute engagement letters through DocuSign upon agreement on pricing.
- Facilitate property inspections, coordinating schedules for the Underwriter, Analyst, and vendors.
- Email due diligence items to vendors and engage outside counsel, filing initial documentation in the active loan file tree and Teams.
- Engage Insurance and Tax Reviewers, providing necessary information.
- Monitor due dates for third-party reports, ensuring timely communication with vendors.
- Save draft third-party reports to appropriate folders, notifying the underwriting team, and updating Microsoft Teams with the latest information.
- Participate in kick-off calls for new transactions.
- Create and finalize the Contact List.
- Retrieve and review credit reports, public searches, Applicant Experience Checks, FHFA checks, OFAC, HUD-LDP, and EPLS during the initial stage, addressing issues with the Underwriter and Analyst.
- Track transaction expenses in Salesforce and submit invoices for payment.
- Support departmental projects and take on additional duties as the department expands.
- A four-year college degree is preferred; familiarity with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac multifamily loan programs through work experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), and aptitude for Adobe and database applications.
- Customer service-oriented with strong teamwork and partnering skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
