Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL has a full-time Lab Associate I opportunity! In this Phlebotomy & Processing role, you will engage with patients from infants to adults. Perfect for someone experienced in phlebotomy and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Mon - Friday (Mon-Fri) Evening Shift - 10am – 8pm
Rotating Weekends (Every third weekend) and rotating holidays

Overview

Role Purpose

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.

Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.

Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
